Federal Lodge #5

Free and Accepted MasonsDover, N. H.

Welcome To Federal Lodge #5

Federal Lodge #5 is now a reality. January was a very busy month as we
brought the old-new Lodge back to life. It was a great day for Masonry
in Dover. We have our first EA degree scheduled for March 21, and we
have two candidates. We also welcomed back Brothers John Joyal, and
Kevin Shultz, it is so great to have these masons back in Lodge. For the
first time in a long time, all of our offices are filled and we even have an
Asst. Secretary, Asst. Treasurer, and Asst. Chaplain. There are
committee spots that we would like to fill so if you are interested in any
of the various committees let one of the officers know and we can get
you started.

I want to thank all of the brothers who worked so hard to get Federal
Lodge #5 up and running. It was a lot of work, but I think very much
worth it. I want to also thank RW David Collins, RW Dave Cumming,
RW Tom Lowe, and the Most Worshipful Grand Master John Lobdell
for their guidance and help to make this transition.
To all the members of Federal Lodge#5 I want to thank you for putting
your trust in me to be the first Master of this Lodge in 221 years, this is a
great honor and I will do my best to live up to your expectations.
We have a few events this month and I hope that you will come and see
the new lodge and take part in the fellowship that it will offer. We have
our fellowship (Square and Compass) Dinner on the 6 th . Dine A Round
Club is back and we will be at Las Palmas on Wednesday the 13 th. You
all know how Masons like to eat! Our stated will be on the 21 st , and
Masters Class on the 27 th , and finally An EA rehearsal on the 28 th.
Our new Lodge pins are in so come to one of the events this month and
get yours. See you in Lodge soon!

Fraternally and Respectfully,
John T. Pond, Jr.
